The driving force in creating Sore4x4 was to create a local site with a very open environment where people don't have to be afraid of asking the 'wrong' question. There are a lot of sites out there that find it easier to spend 5 minutes telling you how to search rather than 30 seconds to answer a question.
Also, being a very new site, I am trying hard to bring in as much traffic as possible-- so that means I am going to offer as many features as I can possibly think of, and spend as much time as I have available to make this site a worthwhile experience.
Sore seemed like a fitting description for a sport where body damage is guaranteed, inhospitable terrain is paradise, and mechanical destruction is commonplace. It also seemed fitting to describe the feeling you, or more importantly, your wife gets when shelling out $1000 for one axle.
Sore4x4 is based out of Vancouver, Washington/ Portland, Oregon. Of course, that isn't all that important for a website, but nonetheless it is something to mention ; )
Why does the home page seem to change so much?
